August 4, 2017 - Smoke Information

Here is some information about the continued smoke impacts in Lake and Klamath Counties.
Locally we have the Devils Lake fire which is looking pretty good at this time and not putting up much smoke, the Blanket Fire on the Rogue-Siskiyou NF and Crater Lake NP, the Spruce Lake Fire on Crater Lake NP, the Cedar Butte Fire on Burns District BLM near Wagontire, the July Complex on the Modoc NF and the Parker 2 fire which is a new large fire on the Modoc.  All of these fires may be impacting air quality depending on your location.

Smoke from wildfires in the United States Northwest and southern British Columbia is accumulating in those areas causing, in some areas, significant degradations in air quality. In British Columbia many massive fires combined with light winds has resulted in the smoke not being transported out of the area.
